Stainless Steel Neti Pots
According to Ayurveda, a nasal pot helps to promote the removal
of excess mucus due to congestion, rid nostrils of pollen and
other allergens, cleanse the nasal membranes of dust, smoke, or
other airborne contaminants, relieve nasal dryness due to air
travel, improve flow of breath before doing relaxation or
meditation techniques. Over 40 Million people in the US alone
suffer from sinusitis and are growing resistant to antibiotics.
Several experience some sort of side effects from these
antibiotics. Sinus Irrigation is the best way of treating your
sinuses naturally!
Regarding the Neti pot, I’ve used them all and after speaking
to a lot of other users have found out that the favorite by far
is made out of stainless steel. It can be cleaned with the
greatest ease, can be safely traveled with, will leave no
metallic residue in your sinuses, and best of all, it is
practically indestructible, given normal bathroom conditions.
At worst, poorly welded steel pots might have a little rust at
edges, but regular cleaning will prevent this from getting into
your body. My own stainless steel pot has no welding, and
little gaskets are used at the only point where two metal
joints meet. The gaskets will prevent rust from developing, but
might someday degrade. I doubt that will happen for many years
though, which means this may be the last pot I’ll ever
need
My own experience
with it is that it holds a ton of water, is very
comfortable to hold and the spout is the first one I've
had that actually seals in my nostril. All the other
Sinus Irrigators didn't really seal so the water leaked
out a bit when I tried to nose rinse. I've dropped this
one also in the shower - besides a huge CLANG – nothing
has happened to it. It's easy to add salt to as the
opening is huge. I can also clean both sinuses easily
because it holds so much water. With my ceramic Sinus
Irrigator, I usually have to refill it with filtered
water, heat up to room temperature, add more salt and
neti again which took more time. It is
rust resistant and won't oxidize like copper neti pots, and
won't break if dropped like ceramic neti pots.
When my
ceramic neti pot eventually breaks, I will definitely
replace it with the stainless steel.
This Neti pot just feels well made.
How to use a Sinus
Irrigator
To use the Sinus Irrigator , simply prepare the saline solution
by adding 8 oz of warm water and a heaping ¼ teaspoon of
non-iodized salt to your Sinus Irrigator . Then turn your head
to the side, and insert the spout into the upper nostril. Raise
the Sinus Irrigator so the saline solution flows into the nose
and out of the lower nostril.
What the Experts are Saying:
"The Neti Pot™ alone has helped more
people than any other modality I use - with consistent use the
results can be dramatic."

should use a nasal douche daily, as it promotes drainage of the
sinuses and speeds healing of inflamed tissues."
