Copper Sinus Irrigators - Neti Pots
The copper Sinus Irrigator is not as
commonly seen as some of the other types listed on this website
but is very popular in certain circles. These Neti Pots are for
the most part made out of 100% non-alloyed copper (no tin or
brass). They are in many aspects superior to ceramic versions,
even though this comes at a hefty price. Many suppliers
specialize in hand making these very precisely which makes them
ideal for all nasal cleansing. They are used for nasal
irrigation with herbal infusions or just plain warm water. Side
arm angle facilitates easy, controllable flow. When used with
the proper herbs or extracts the nose rinse has extra added
medicinal benefits.
My Yoga instructor is a fan of this type
of Sinus Irrigator and has been preaching its use for many
years. Many people practicing Yoga use them for yogic cleansing
of sense organs. I think that the look of them makes them seem
very authentic and they even resemble a tea pot in many ways.
Due to high conductivity of copper, they allow the user to know
exactly how hot or cold the liquid contents are (ensuring the
ideal temperature for comfortable nasal cleansing). A well made
Copper Neti Pot should have a narrow spout, with a conical end
for ideal directional flow into the nasal passage, and be light
and easy to handle (unlike ceramic
pots).
When travelling this type is ideal as it
is very strong and virtually unbreakable. I have had many trips
at which I spent time worrying if my ceramic Neti Pot would
survive it. This is an unnecessary worry, as it is always
already stressful enough when occupying a foreign space.
Allergens exist in all kinds of environments, and a quick nose
rinse allows for better breathing making all activities easier
in those types of conditions. I would easily recommend trying
one of these out, as it might just be the perfect Sinus
Irrigator for you.
How to use
a Sinus Irrigator
To use the Sinus Irrigator , simply prepare the saline solution
by adding 8 oz of warm water and a heaping ¼ teaspoon of
non-iodized salt to your Sinus Irrigator . Then turn your head
to the side, and insert the spout into the upper nostril. Raise
the Sinus Irrigator so the saline solution flows into the nose
and out of the lower nostril.
What the Experts are Saying:
"The Neti Pot™ alone has helped more
people than any other modality I use - with consistent use the
results can be dramatic."

& Healing, Honesdale, Pennsylvania
